The colors ARE awesome, and the shot is great. But look deeper and then not so deep.

We know what it is, but do you see what it is?

I love the eye, the all seeing, the all knowing. Knowing that life can be either a stairway to heaven or a downward spiral.

Oh yeah, this is WAY more than awesome colors

I only speak the truth. I see what i see and usually from some strange trippy angle ..LOL!!

Seriously though, all art is subject to interpretation--and generally the interpretation of the person looking at it. Art should do one of two things:

1.) make people emote - make them feel SOMETHING even if its negative
and
2.) make people think - because you know if they walk away scratching thier heads they're going to come back and take another deeper look and look and look again until they figure it out for themselves.



If you have accomplished one of those two things (or better yet both) THEN you have done your job as an artist

You made me think -- of certain philosphical truths I've discovered about myself over the years- like the ever present duality of human nature...

Then you made me emote -- I was happy, the rainbow colors made that stairway a stairway to heaven, not a downward spiral, and the shape of the "eye" was like a close up of a smiling person (you can see the roundness of the cheek in the oranges below the straight railing).

Again, well done!! I'd still like to see more ...

awee wow ! thanks for interpreting my picture so well... maybe better then my interpretation! impressive analyzation of art itself... you seem like a true artist if i may say so myself : ) and I hope to bring more of my art to deviant..especially after persuasive comments as such^ haha.

Don't know if I'm a TRUE artist...Heh!! But I was classically trained early then spent the last 20 years breaking all the rules

I had an art proffessor in my 30's (yeah I've been in college forever) who taught me the meaning of true art from outside the artists perspective. Maybe I'll put that story in my journal here...

But anyway this thread isn't about me...You just keep keepin on
